英國皇家建築師學會（Royal Institute of British Architects）公布2025 年度全國大獎，共有20位得獎作品。
得獎者包括Herzog & de Meuron、Purcell和Allies and Morrison等建築事務所，得獎作品包括兩座監獄、一幢時裝學院、也有龐大的修復工程，例如大笨鐘（The Elizabeth Tower），穀倉改建計劃、一座教堂的修復。
其中兩座得獎的監獄，包括蘇格蘭的HMP & YOI Stirling監獄，以及英國南部修咸頓（Southampton）的Hope Street。Hope Street由Snug Architects設計，被形容為空間舒適，園藝特別精心設計，提升囚犯及工作人員的體驗。另一座Holmes Miller，是位於Stirling ，人數只有100的女性拘留設施，它的建成取代了原址的女子監獄，設施總共是七座單層建築，裡面每間牢房都能望到美麗景觀。
以上兩座監獄，都不是慣常地由英國司法部直接委託興建。
據英國皇家建築師學會日誌網站中寫，這些建築之所以得獎，也許與它們的公共性質、承建建築事務所的方式有關，Barefoot Architects設計、位於多塞特郡 (Dorset) 的Bridport Cohousing，由一群志工組成的社區土地信託基金（Community Land Trust），花十年才建成Archio在盧瓦薩姆的Citizen House項目也採用社區土地信託方法集資。另一得獎作品，歷史悠久的Sheerness船塢教堂則由Hugh Broughton Architects為當地慈善機構重新設計。
建築師學會於日誌網站中解釋，這個現象，顯示由建築師帶領的社會型專案，擁有獨特價值，也符合英國皇家建築師學會獎項的新趨勢。「今年50%的參賽作品都是翻新和再利用項目，超過半數的參賽作品不在現場使用瓦斯。建築在緩解和對應氣候危機，如今是獎項的重中之重。」
